president@pcee.info | The President serves as the primary liaison between Explorer's parent body and the school's administration. They set the agenda for each meeting of the Parent Council and Executive, preside over each meeting, and oversee all Parent Council activities. The President does not vote on any motions before the PCEE. |

Volunteer Coordinator, VP Tonya Larabee |
volunteers@pcee.info | The Volunteer Coordinator is responsible for coordinating event organizers and volunteers for all of our PCEE programs. They compile lists of volunteers from the annual "Volunteer Survey", as well as from sign-up sheets and emails requesting volunteer participation throughout the year. This position includes finding Chairpersons for each PCEE event, helping them to coordinate with past Chairs and new volunteers, and following up with them post-event. |

Communications Coordinator, VP Jordan Smurthwaite |
communications@pcee.info | The Communications VP is responsible for coordinating and communicating messages between PCEE and Explorer families. Presently, they gather all PC-related messages on a weekly basis and forward them on to the office for inclusion in the weekly community-wide school email. This process is under review and could change in the near future. |

webmaster@pcee.info | Working in close partnership with the Communications VP, the Webmaster shall handle all of the IT-related responsibilities of the EPC, including: maintaining this website, SurveyMonkey, Constant Contact and the EPC/PC email accounts. Any questions regarding these tools should be directed to the Webmaster. |

Treasurer Kelli Major Katharine Wardle |
treasurer@pcee.info | The Treasurer is responsible for creating a budget for the PCEE and managing all of their funds. Typically, an updated financial report is prepared and distributed at each Parent Council meeting for all PC members to review and/or approve any spending motions before us. All transactional records are organized and maintained by the Treasurer. |

Secretary Kelly Gralewski |
secretary@pcee.info | Attends all Executive and Parent Council meetings to record both attendance and minutes. They prepare the minutes in document form for review and approval at the next consecutive meeting. Once approved, the minutes are posted online and a copy filed in the office for parents to review. |

Room Parent Coordinators Kelly Williams & Wendy Hutchison |
roomparentcoord@pcee.info | The Room Parent Coordinators help the individual Room Parents understand their duties and budget. They provide the overall support and guidance required by the individual room parents. Due to the demanding nature of this position, it has been split into two roles: communications (Kelly) and classroom funds (Wendy). |

fundraising@pcee.info | The Fundraising Coordinator works on all aspects of PCEE's fundraising - parent community, HT Village, and external. They must oversee and work with other fundraising volunteers. It is important that this person be persistent and very good at following up on fundraising leads. |

parliamentarian@pcee.info | The Parliamentarian keeps Parent Council and Executive meetings in compliance with Robert's Rules of Order, which have been designated as the authority in questions of procedure for PCEE. |

Board Liaison Erica Lund-Anastasakis |
boardliaison@pcee.info | The Board Liaison's role is to attend the board meetings for Explorer Elementary. They are PCEE's non-voting representative at those meetings. Any PCEE-relevant issues from the board meetings are brought back and reported at a subsequent PC meeting. |

atlarge@pcee.info | No pre-determined responsibilities. This position has been in place for a couple of years. PCEE is still defining some general guidelines or expectations for the At-Large Representative. |

Alumnus Representative Steve Price |
alumnus@pcee.info | The Alumnus Representative is the only non-elected (Principal-appointed) position on PCEE. They serve to share their historical knowledge of the school and Parent Council, and are consulted when broader questions of what is best for the long-term future of the school arise. They have no other specific responsibilities. |

It is a great night with delicious food, music, silent auction, and *not to be missed* LIVE auction of our children's beautiful artwork. You will want to be there to see it all. What is better than raising money while fostering a love of reading and books in our children? Again, we ask for your support to make this week-long event a huge success. As one of our biggest fundraisers, we need the help of many. |
| Box Tops, Labels & Recycling | easymoney@pcee.info | Chair or co-chairs needed now.Help our school earn as much of this "easy" money as possible. Cut out your Box Tops for Education labels, Campbell's Soup labels, and turn in all of your old cell phones and used toner cartridges. We have dedicated bins located at the front of the school. This is one of the simplest and most effective ways for us to raise money. |

Early Intervention Reading Program "Barton" |

The Barton Early Intervention Reading Program is a multisensory phonics program based on the Barton Reading and Spelling System. No teaching experience is necessary since tutor training is provided with mentoring by our school's resource teacher. Twice a week you will tutor 1-2 children for 30 minutes each. This program helps to build a solid sound-symbol relationship. If you have a passion for truly helping children please consider this rewarding opportunity and contact us. Merchants contribute each time families make a purchase using their grocery club or registered credit/debit cards. There are no receipts to collect, no certificates to buy, no hassles. Explorer's eScrip Committee promotes, tracks and problem-solves, using the online eScrip Coordinator Toolkit throughout the year to ensure our power in the program is running high. Do you have a passion for reading? Everyone A Reader (EAR) is a wonderful service opportunity for anyone who would like to share the gift of reading with a child. Reading tutors receive specialized, professional training and then work 1.5 hours per week with “their” students on developing confidence, fluency and comprehension in reading. If you are interested in becoming part of our dedicated team of parents, grandparents and community members, please contact us. (Luisa Elizondo, 2011). |

Explorer offers fun, nutritious lunches from Banyan Catering on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. Sign your child up for any one or all of the days. The new sign up form is available on the 2009/10 Programs page. Profits support our school. Volunteers are needed to serve. Your child can have Papa John's pizza and baby carrots for lunch on Tuesdays throughout the school year. Sign-ups are offered twice a year. Your child can have 1, 2, or 3 slices.
