Giving Your Time and Support through Parent Council
PCEE, students, teachers, and staff sincerely appreciate every donation of time, money, and support. PCEE organizes several events and programs that enhance the Explorer community and generate thousands of
dollars essential to operating our school -- especially critical given the challenging California budget crunch.
PCEE volunteers organize:
- Everyone A Reader and Barton Early Intervention reading programs
- Learning Garden aligned with school curriculum
- Back to School Picnic
- Room Parent volunteers and classroom helpers to support our teachers
- Library volunteers
- End of Year Social
- Teacher appreciation events and gifts
- The School Yearbook
PCEE volunteers help build community and raise money for the school through:
- eScrip and Box Tops
- Art From The Heart annual fundraising gala
- Farm Raiser Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) boxes
- Jog-A-Thon
- Scholastic Bookfair
- Pizza Lunches
- Movie & Munchies Nights
- Skate Nights
- Fall Festival
- And so much more!

Library Announcement: Sponsor A Book
Donate a book to the library with your gift of $20 (cash or check made
out to EECS). Each book has been carefully chosen for age
appropriateness and quality. Your child will sign a “Donated by…”
nameplate and he or she will be the very first student to check it out.
Our selections will change monthly. Sponsoring books is a great way to
foster a sense of ownership in the library for your children and to
encourage them to read more. It’s also a great way to honor a child's
birthday, commemorate a special event, honor a teacher, or just to help
support the Explorer library. You can see our current list of 144 books
that need sponsorship at the following website
http://destiny.explorerelementary.org
(click on "Explorer Elementary Charter School" in the center, the
"Catalog" at the top, next "Resource Lists" on the left side, "Public
Lists" tab near the top, "Books to Sponsor" then "View" and finally
"show all" on the right). That way you'll see the whole list on one
screen. You can get information about each book by clicking on the
title. Thank you! Marsha Korobkin & Roxyanne Young. Contact
library@pcee.info.
Donating Directly to Explorer -- The Explorer Fund
The Explorer Fund supports the faculty, staff and classroom programs
that make Explorer a unique school. Your donation is an investment in your child’s education, an endorsement of Explorer’s mission and
philosophy, and a gift that benefits the entire Explorer community.
Your gift to the Explorer Fund goes directly to funding this year’s
operating budget and is spent on your child’s academic and social
emotional education this year.
Did you know:
- State funding does not cover the full cost of educating each child. The Explorer Fund helps make up the difference.
- The Explorer Fund is essential because it helps
pay for the everyday necessities that allow Explorer to operate and
thrive unlike any other school.
- Gifts to the Explorer Fund are 100% tax deductible.
Please learn more by visiting the
Explorer Fund page on the Explorer Elementary Charter School's official website.
Explorer can accept credit card contributions. You can use this
printable pledge form or click this link to
