• School's Out! - Thank you to everyone that came on the last day of school to "Sing Out" the children for summer break. Have a safe and wonderful vacation. We look forward to seeing everyone back here on the first day of school - Monday, August 30th @ 8:00 a.m.
• Enrichment & Emergency Hot Lunch - All outstanding balances are due to the office by June 30th.
• PCEE & EECS Checks - All payments for the new school year will be deposited on or right after July 1st.
• 2010/11 Parent Council Executive - Everyone is looking forward to another exciting year. If you missed seeing who will be serving on the new council, click here. Look for highlights from the 2009/10 year to be posted over the summer. It will be a great opportunity to celebrate meeting the needs of our school in these trying economic times. We did it with your help. Whether you took time out of your hectic schedule to drive on class field trips, donated to the Annual Campaign, or chaired a major fundraising event - we all came together to successfully support our school. Congrats (and thank you) to all.
• PC Meeting Minutes - March and April are now available here or find all of them on the Docs & Links page. May's meeting minutes (say that 3 times fast) will be posted as soon as they are approved at the first PC meeting of 2010/11. Thank you for your patience.
• Summer Reading Lists - Check this site for grade-level reading suggestions (from the Santa Monica-Malibu Unified School District).
• Welcome Back Letter & Supplies List - Mailed by your new teacher the second week of August. Aren't you so excited to find out which parents you'll get to hang out with next year? Wink-wink.

All parents and guardians of current Explorer Elementary Charter School students are invited to join the Parent Council (PCEE), participate in our meetings, and be active in our programs.

We are very proud of the support we provide our students and teachers. We organize the Back to School Picnic, Pizza Lunches, Everyone A Reader, Movie & Munchies Nights, Scholastic Bookfair, Skate Nights, Jog-A-Thon, Art From The Heart, and End of Year Social.

Our volunteers also serve lunch every day, support our teachers as room parents and classroom helpers, raise funds through eScrip and Box Tops, create our school yearbook, work in the library, plan teacher appreciations, provide hospitality, run the Explorer Kids Korps chapter, and so much more.

These programs enhance the Explorer community we are so proud to be a part of and generate the thousands of dollars we need to support our school. We want to keep the momentum going for many years to come. Please complete and return the 2009/10 Volunteer Survey when it comes out or download a copy. We sincerely appreciate every donation of time and money. As always, thank you for your support.
